Oh hard day, Was thinking of you today. How is Jacob? hang in there now you wait for the box. I think it helped when I still had Sam at home, when he went it was hard.

doubletrouble, I don't know what I would have done if Bryce would of been upset, but he did not have a moment of sadness, he was confident and ready, it probably made a big difference that he didn't have a girlfriend that he was leaving. What day do you do this again?? Gregory leaves on the 15th.

OMG! The thought of going through this day again is terrifing! We are all doing better than expected. I cried A LOT this morning, off and on. Darien got up around 11:00 & came in my room almost in tears. He said he set his alarm for 9:00 but it didn't go off, he was almost crying. I said did you have plans & he said not, that he just wanted to be up earlier. I think he wanted more time to spend with everyone (girlfriend). She showed up about 10 minutes later &they spent the whole time laying on his bed crying. I would go in to make sure he had his stuff together or to give him something to eat, then would go cry. Seeing him upset really hit me.
Once we all got to the recruiter office Darien was fine. At the office it was Darien, Jacob, my husband, me, Paul their friend that left today too, his gf & mom & Darien's gf &her mom. We all hung out while Darien & Paul did their stuff then they headed out.
He texted us & said we should get the skype app &we have video chatted a couple of times. I think that's why I'm ok, after tomorrow no telling!
I am so glad disy got the box! Thank you ladies for so much advice & encouragement, its comforting.

When there are mixed divisions the girls from two mixed divisions are in the same barrack and the two male mixed divisions sleep together, when training the mixed co ed groups train together.

Worked almost 12 hours today, but my box did come and the FedEx guy left it in the garage for me, because I left a note for him. I was really excited, I know that is really crazy and only Military mom's understand this kind of excitement.

CO-Twin I find myself disappointed now that I know we won't be taking that road trip to take the car. LOL That is really nice of his friend to take it for him and I am sure he is going to love your cookies.

Disy, Now we wait for our form letter, hope we get it by Saturday or at least before Gregory leaves. I am still not sure what day Gregory has to leave for St. Louis, Bryce left the day before, but it is looking like others who are part of the Cardinal company are having to leave earlier then just the day before, but he doesn't have his final orders yet. We just know that he will be sworn in at Busch stadium on the 15th. Don't know if I will be able to do anything for Gregory like I planned, he has way to many plans for us to work around.

Disy let me know if you hear from the chief, not that they will be together, but I had someone say they were on a mixed coed division, I didn't know they did that. Maybe they just meant it was the division they were pared up with.

Thanks CO-twin. I think I'll wait til Jonathan gets to BC. I prefer to lurk on the Nuke Moms site for now and just glean information. I don't quite feel like a 'real' nuke Mom yet.

I am familiar with that sight someone sent it just as Sam was going to GC.  I did figure out the address with a little help from the FB nuke moms. If you are interested in joining that one email me and I will email you the site, you have to be invited it is private.

CO-twin...I posted a link on your page to the Nuke FAQ site too. I'm not sure if you have discovered it already or not. What a challenge! I love the idea of writing a note to Jonathan and I'm using it for sure. Naughty Sam, but too funny!

Getting the box is a connection it is a step along the way that you will want. I don't know if I wrote it before but I spent a week before each left typing out a Poem/letter on "the privilege of being their Mom" memories of their whole life from conception on.  I stuck it in a box of cookies for the ride to MEPS. It was a nice surprise for them. Some kids do write their mom a note.  My sam as a joke put a condom in his box! Bad boy. He got it from a friend he said.

Hope The double trouble family is doing OK.

I figured out the address.  Had to count weeks in the fiscal year! and figure out what his class # is.

Sam wants some clothing.
