I don't blame you Disy...that would make me go insane seeing everyone else getting their boxes etc. You were right on the cusp of it being the next week which makes it hard. Everyone always says...NO news is GOOD news, so hang in there.
Maybe you can spend a special girls day with the one you have at home right now. I bet she would appreciate it. Are you all set with sending your other twin off to college?

Thanks for the encouragement about Jonathan and the DEP website. I figure he will get there soon enough. He's been to 2 DEP meetings so far. He's also the youngest one there which he feels kind of awkward about. I think he has the latest ship date too. I told him that is just because he was more motivated and started at the beginning of summer. More kids will start thinking about joining after school starts and the recruiters get in contact with them.

Hi everyone - trying to fill my days and not read too much on N4M - some peeps have their boxes and letters and I feel like I am in limbo! This is my favorite group!!

Co-Twin I am sorry your husband did that! I will never understand some people! My daughter's friends parents are just horrible - they have a custody that hand over has to be noon - not a minute before and not a minute after and the pair of them are just like the other - such a fuss! Lovely people so can't understand it!

Sierrascrapper - Jonathan will join the site nearer the time - I think the friends they meet at the DEP meetings and things will encourage him to do so!

Hope everyone is having a good start to their week! I am down to one kid - so strange!! My other two visited Los Angeles - my hubby got my 13 year old tickets for One Direction and my other twin went to visit her boyfriend before she leaves for college! We are rattling around in the house! Even the dog is sad :0(

Dropping by to say HI everyone. Hope you all had a nice weekend. Ours was crazy busy as usual. LOL

Disy and Cathy...how are you ladies holding up?

CO-twin...sorry to hear that your ex has to be so petty. Like your boys really need to hear those things at this point in their lives. I sure hope Sam is going to be alright. That poor kid must be more used to the mountains than beach life. LOL Us moms sheltered our kids all their lives and it's hard for them to think for themselves when they are out on their own.

As far as cleaning rooms go...I dread the day that o have to clean out their room. I am going to make Jonathan pack up as much as he can before he goes, but I don't think it will be much since the boys share so many things. Since Nathanael will still be home for a couple semesters, it will be hard to convince him that he will have to pack up the rest. I'm sure I will be a BIG part of the cleanup process whether I like it or not. LOL

T bought after BC Steve would have been cleaner, not. He re trashed his room, then overslept the morning he had to catch his flight to Norfolk. He hadn't packed and threw most his stuff un his bags. He left a bunch EVERYWHERE. Anyway while I was recleanimg I came across all the mail he had gotten during BC and A School. I had been convinced his dad has planted negative seeds behind my back so I did fish out all the letters from him and sat down and read them, sure enough a one or two line zinger in each letter. They mostly were not even true. I felt bad about invading Steve's privacy but I got my answer. Hope Steve. Is smart enough to notice I don't discuss his dad with him. Anyway I can understand the temptation to read letters not meant for you. Still not sure it was right of me.

Funny that everyone is cleaning rooms! My 13 year old went to L.A. today for the One Direction concert - I could not wait to get into her room to clean it out!! So much fun!! She is completely disgusting!!!

Twinsailorsmom, LOL,I love it, I know what you mean you just wanted to know how things were going and get a taste of what he is really thinking, sometimes our kids just tell us what we want to hear.

@Cathymg - early in Boot Camp one week I did not get letters from my boys but one of them sent a letter to his girlfriend but he sent it home because she was working a camp. . . I opened it and read it - then resealed it, got her address and sent it on.  Bad Mommy I am!!!  Someday I will tell him . . .

Trying to clean Bryce's room, wow what a chore!! Is it wrong if I read his personal letters?? Just couldn't help myself!! Then again if he would of cleaned his room I wouldn't be up there going through his stuff.
