Just got a text saying that he is laying back in a lazy boy right now at the USO.

He has text me several times, he said he loved the flight. actually he said it was "Badass" LOL. He says BC is going to be a breeze, funny boy!! Anyway he is pumped and I am glad because that makes me feel so much better. Still waiting for the last call and I think it will be soon. Disy, we will for sure have to stay at the same Hotel, it will be nice knowing someone when we get there. I believe we will leave on Thursday morning, of course it is really not that far for us!!

So who is our new member?? I guess I haven't got to look through everything yet!!

Cathy and Disy, Congratulations. I swear the days leading up to shipping are harder then the days after in some ways. Now keep looking forward, the box, the call, the first letter, the first call... Lots of milestones upcoming!

We went to a great deep stuffed Chicago piazza place at that huge mall I will get the name for you at home.  The pizza was 2 inches thick!! Sam ate it in dress whites!! Steve went in the peanut butter cup uniform the day after PIR as he did not fly out till Sunday. we got lucky. Peanut butter cups are black pants, khaki  shirts and a black hat.

I checked my PO box at lunch today in hopes of a letter -or two- but I don't get anything from them till Friday or Saturday most weeks.  Oh how I love the letters!!!  I did a lot of question pages for them also, they said it was so much easier for them.  I can't wait for letters!!!

twinsailorsmom our tag name is almost the same LOL  I loved getting the first real letter. I treasure those letters. Got a postcard yesterday from Stephen.

Keeping you both in my prayers as you start your Boot Camp journey.  I go to PIR in just one week!!!  I am so excited!  That first phone call is one I will never forget!!!

Oh and I totally lost it here in my store, Kleenex needed.

You should be sure and book the same hotel. I used the Navy Lodge both times. It is $66 per night w/ breakfast and is really close to base.

WOO HOO Disy and Cathy! I'm shedding tears of pride and excitement for you and your family. I'll be sure to keep you and your recruits in my prayers.

How FUN that you will get to meet each other at graduation!
