Just remember I've gotten the best hugs my boys have given me since they hit puberty this last year. They hug and don't let go.  Love it!!

Disy, I love that you said hug them tight even if they squirm, made me laugh because they probably will squirm but I am going to do it.

I truly think all of you women are great, i am so glad you started this group CO-Twin. Sometimes it is just nice to know you are normal and not going completely crazy!! I went and did Zumba tonight and then took a walk with my mom, so I am feeling a lot better.

Some of you were talking about your mom's being old school and not using computers, well my mom is probably on the computer more then I am, she is on FB and she knows way more then I do about most computer things. I have a brother who lives out of stated and they skype a lot so she can see his little girls. Yes it is nice to be able to keep in touch over the computer with family that live else where.

Nice thing is that after Boot Camp they want to give you a squeeze and a hug.

Cathymg, I think every single military mom can relate to your feelings. We feel scared, proud, sad, excited, heartbroken, sick, yet hopeful all within a single hour!
I think it's sometimes hard for other folks to understand that dichotomy. That's why forums like this are so helpful. Everyone on here understands completely. I wonder what the parents did before social media!! the Army has Facebook pages for basic training that really helped me out with that and navy for moms was a great comfort. Remember there are lots of people to support you and you WILL get through it.

We will be there for you cathymg.  So will your leaving for BC in July group.  You are on that aren't you"  that should pass you along to his ship and Div group and his PIR group.  These are very informative and supportive because everyone is (pardon the pun) in the same boat.

There is a 4 years older set of identical girl twins here, their names are Gina and Erica, their uncle calls them Generic a. sad hu?

OK, alot of talk about prickly legs last night, I am someone who needs to shave everyday, so that would be really hard, poor girls.

I also find myself saying "The boys", I also say GR-Bryce and BR_Gregory, they get so mad and say that is not my name, Well I know, but I started to call you by the wrong name and then realized who I was talking to. Makes them so mad!!

I did get some sleep last night, finally and I feel better today.

Bryce went to the Doctor today and his rash was almost gone, so they really didn't see much, just gave him some advice, hope it don't came back before Tuesday.

I was feeling pretty sad this morning, had to dry my eyes before I left for work. I am so conflicted about my feelings.

This was my status on FB this morning:

How is it possible to want something so bad for your son, but yet really never want it to happen?? I feel like I am 2 different people in the same body!!
My first of 2 sons leaves in 7 days.

Disy likewise I refer to mine as "the boys" I know what you mean.  I wondered if that was a way to deal with temptations. the female part not the prickly part but who knows it could be both.

Oh man I can SO relate Disy. My husband called me on the whole being like my Mom a few weeks ago. I think it was when Jonathan left for MEPS for signing into DEP. I felt like a fool and tried to reel it in. My Mom is from Germany...so she's old-school for sure. She doesn't have a computer because she's afraid to have to learn it. But it would be so much easier for her to keep up with all her kids and grandkids. She is a HUGE letter and card and phone call person. I am not one to enjoy spending time on the phone.

I hope your Mom is doing well with her recovery.

My mom is so funny though - she had a fb page and then closed it because she said all her friends were trying to talk to her and she didn't have time to answer everyone - she recently came through breast cancer and surgery and chemo so I tried to explain she just needed to post an update so peeps knew how she was doing! So she said "well they could call me and find out!!! " ummmm didn't you just say you didn't have time for that??? She is of that generation when phone calls are everything and birthday cards are a must! She was horrified when I started giving the girls $5 notes written and signed Happy Birthday!! Love her but she can drive me crazy! My girls just roll their eyes 'cos the know I am gonna be worse than her!!!!!!!
