3boysmom...I know how you feel about wanting to be prepared in advance.  What ship is your son going to be on?  I know there are groups on N4M that are for specific ships.  But here are a couple links that might be helpful:

I haven't seen specific groups for San Diego, but there might be some of those too.  My son is hoping that after he gets through his Nuke training that he will be stationed in San Diego.  We'll see.

One more round...then I'll stop LOL...I just did lots of digging for pics and couldn't help but pull these ones out too...

Here they were learning to roll over together.

They just played until they fell asleep.  LOL

This was the boys' first camping trip on the North Coast of CA.

Mommy with the boys here, they were about 3...they had "bowl" haircuts at this age.

Does anyone know how the housing works when they get orders after A school? My boy is going to San Diego and I'm wondering about housing. He's not concerned, but I'm a control freak and always need to know how things are going to proceed.

Hi moms,
My twins just turned 22. Cam is finishing A school next month fir IT and just got orders to San Diego. Colin is entering his senior year at UConn. They are as different as could be, but since about age 19 they have become closer. They went to the same high school for grade 9 but then we moved Cam to another school that I thought was a better fit. He wasn't happy with that decision although he made many friends, but school was not his thing.
I have an older boy who graduated from college with a business degree then decided to go into the Army. He turned down a commission to go to officers school for Special Forces. He was telling Cam for about two years to join theNavy. Cameron used to get so angry at thathewould storm out of the house. We all backed off and let him come to the decision himself, which took a while, but he's been very successful and feels he made his own decision, I think that's important, that they think they are deciding themselves, rather than being coerced by their twin or parents.

I'm trying to pull up a few more pics of the boys as babies...those are difficult to get because that was before digital cameras.  LOL  So I've gotta dig them out of a cedar chest and then take a pic with my phone to make them happen over the internet.  Oh technology has come a LONG way!
