Hello 3boysmom, glad you joined us.

I was just thinking that my first son to leave has only 16 day left and then I realized that my husband only has 2 more weekends with him, he'll probably be lucky to spend a few more hours with him before he leaves. How sad!!

MM is a machinist mate and EM is a electrician mate.  It means more schooling

EM and   ET (Electrical Technician) has more school. I guess the electrical end of things have more to them. EM and  MM both involve more hands on work.

Co-twin, what is an EM compared to an mm?

I wanted to be a fly on the wall for certain things at BC to watch them learn how to be clean, both with their stuff and their person.  Sam learned how to stand up straight and probably shouldn't go there but, he quit picking his nose!!  Most are sick a lot at BC.  SmileyThey will learn to follow rules.

My two almost always got along.  The only time they got physical was when Stephen joined the navy.  Steve (re hair thing) has always been a go getter.  Sam the follower.  Steve got the first job then got his brother a job at the same place.  Steve applied for College at Montana State and Sam followed suit etc... When Steve joined Sam was mad and felt he had been abandoned.  So he decked steve and kicked him. Mom lost it with them both.  Now that Sam is on his own he has to make his own decisions and that is a great thing for him.  I can see him really growing and developing his own interests for the first time.

Cathy...I was reading on the DEP group how upset you are about one of your boys not following house rules right now.  Hope you're doing alright.  When they get to 18 they think they can do anything they want.  It's so hard to try to just tell them that you even love them.  I hope things improve. I'm sure he's trying to deal with his inner feelings with this big transition and this is how he thinks he can get through it.  Maybe you can just leave little post it notes on the mirror for him with a simple note of I LOVE YOU or I'm proud of you or I'm excited for you.  Or even leave a note asking to have a soda or ice cream together.

I added a discussion above to help build this group for the future.  It will also help people find our group in the future as the word TWIN will be a tag for when they do searches on N4M. Please feel free to write your experiences in the discussion topic.

Thanks CO-twin...I've been scrapbooking for 15 years and I used to teach at a scrapbook store for about 10 years.  I wish I still taught at my local scrapbook store but unfortunately after the economy took a dump 3 years ago, they had to close.

In a strange way it's comforting to hear that twins don't truly get along with each other and that they fight.  Mine haven't gotten in too many tussles with each other, mostly verbal fights, but they do get physical once in a great while.  They had a pretty rough one about a year ago that we had to go see the pastor about because it worried us.  I think they scared each other too.  They haven't gone to the same school since they started high school which seemed to cut down on some of the competition.  Now they only have to compete for our attention.  LOL

Doubletrouble...I bet your sons are going to LOVE what they do.  It seems like they definitely have found a perfect niche for them in the Navy.

Cathymg...how do you tell your twins apart???  Looking at the pics it's hard to tell.
