O been there. Only mine left 6 months apart. Good was that my second one got to go to the first ones PIR. Double trouble on here, hers figured out that they could see each other at church on Sundays.
You are right it is too quiet. Cooking for one is weird also.

It's been a tough week! Although one of my twins is 3 weeks from PIR, the other twin left for boot camp on Wednesday! The house is soooooo empty... and I'm dreading getting THE BOX again! But I'm trying to stay focused on the PIR countdown... both of them!

Wow you are almost there, hang on 8 days and counting. Have a wonderful time.

It is such an amazing ceremony and it is amazing to see the change in your kids.

Now I forget is your other one going also into the navy?  I found my self not being able to take my eyes off my twins after PIR.  So proud.

Cathymg...UGGHHH... Crazy what your son Bryce did. 17% is terrible. It's unfortunate that he didn't discuss it with you and your husband first. I know he's a grown man now, but at least he could've gotten some good advice on what is or isn't a good deal. I worry for Jonathan when he starts making good money as I think he won't make good financial decisions. I hope we can address some of those issues now before he goes out on his own. I know the mistakes I made when I was younger and I pray that he won't make the same mistakes.

Good to hear that you will get to see both boys for Christmas though. How wonderful that will be. What kinds of plans are you making for their visit home?

Sierra, Glad you enjoyed the parade on Veterans day. I took our veterans from the Nursing home to the VFW for a Veterans Day lunch, it was wonderful, they really treated our guys like kings!!

I have been to Indiana and St. Louis and am planning a trip to Pensacola to see the boys for Thanksgiving, sounds like I will be able to meet Disy while I am there. Yeah Sam for becoming a Petty officer. I think both of my boys will be home for Christmas, they will be driving because Bryce bought a car, I am not to trilled that he bought a car. He got a 6 year loan for a 07 and it is at 17%. he just doesn't understand what he has done. And them driving home with not knowing what the weather is going to be like worries me. While I just will have to say my prayers because this boy never listens to us.
