Kendra, I love your pictures, they really are a lot different, my twins are Identical.

Recruiter, The boys did like their recruiter but I do think they could have prepared them better, they only went once a month for about 1 1/2 hours.

I loved it when we were at GL for PIR I could hear taps at night from the Navy Lodge.

I really like Jonathan's recruiter and all the recruiters in the office have been so polite and helpful. Jonathan's recruiter makes me laugh every time I see him because he reminds me of Ferris Bueller. He also has a funny personality. He says BOOM all the time. It cracks me up.. By the time Jonathan leaves, I know they will have done a fine job preparing Jonathan. It's funny because every time I see him, he asks if I have any questions. I just say no...thanks though. It's only because of N4M :)

I am 35 miles from the recruiters office. He is a sweet man, boys think the world of him. He got them well prepared and was perfectly honest.

I just have to say that I love being able to hear the marching band practicing through my open window. The sound just comes wafting in. It will be so bittersweet next year.

90 miles is a long way away. How far are you from the recruiter's office? Most of the DEPper Moms don't seem to be on N4M and I think that is part of the reason the chief asked me to speak at their meeting. He said it's good to have a supportive family and that N4M could help the Moms a lot because they are more concerned about their child's decision.

Our recruiter didn't plan it or organize it. I decided that our area needed to get together and form a bond do I had to make it happen. I just asked a few NV Moms if they were interested and then I ran with it. After I talked to the chief about it at the recruiter's office, he asked me to speak to all the DEPpers. So far there are at least 5 of us coming and I hope to hear more. I gave out fliers to about 24 FSs

I don't recall our recruiter ever having one. To my knowledge I am the only N4M for 90 miles.

Hi there ladies!  Our local N4M picnic is this weekend. I'm getting really excited as I have gotten some responses from a few moms at the DEP meeting this month where I handed out fliers about our picnic.  I'm not sure if any of you have attended any local meetups, but I would love any advice you might have.  I want to make sure this picnic is a success.  Is there anything that the hostess did to make the meetup GREAT??  Like did you play games or do an interesting activity or did the hostess give out something as a keepsake?  I am thinking of printing out our MadLibs and bring them for everyone.  Since I'm a scrapbooker, I tend to think that everything we go to has to have some kind of memorabilia.  LOL
