Actually Sam is older by one minute and the biggest at birth. Still is, mine were 1 month early. Now Sam is 6'4" Steve is 5'7" LOL. Should have named em Mutt and Jeff. They would not put up with being in separate cribs so were in one for a long time then in two pushed together.

Sierra and Co-Twin, My boys actually shared a crib when I brought them home, Well after they grew out of their bassinets anyway, We had a 2 bedroom house so we had all three kids in the same room, tight fit but it worked. My husband and I were divorced when I moved to town and they were 3 and then they shared a room with one another but their sister finally got her own room. I think they were 9 almost 10 when we moved to our current house and then they had their own rooms, but at first they still would stay in the same room together.

CO-Twin, Funny that the twins send each other packages, My Gregory was going to write Bryce while in BC, but was told they didn't allow that. So hopefully later on they will send each other things.

My boys love peach rings and I can 't wait to be able to send them some.

CO-Twin, is Steve the oldest and was he the bigger of the twins??

Mine shared until about high school age. Then Sam moved out to a loft room. The only drawback for him was lack of privacy as it was above the living room.

Competition...isn't it GREAT??? Sometimes it's a good thing and sometimes not. Looks like it is working for good with your boys Cathy. It's so good to hear that you got a call and that Gregory is doing well.

CO-twin...how sweet of Sam to send Steve a care pkg. I'm hoping that Twin 1 will care more for his bro after Twin 2 leaves.

So here's my question...have your twins had their own room or have they shared a room most of the time? My boys share their room. We just can't afford a bigger place. They really don't spend time in their room except to sleep. I'm just curious if that is a factor.

They really don't compete. Steve , I think it's the red hair, has always been the leader, Sam has always been very dependent on Steve. When they were two Steve ended up in the hospital with dehydration from stomach flu. Sam had to go to Steve's room every ten minutes, just look at him then he could go play for another 10 minutes. I think it is good that Sam is finding himself now without his twin. They still communicate regularly. Sam just sent Steve a care package. How many siblings send care packages? I think that is pretty great.

I got a call today from Gregory, he sounded so much better, getting letters but asking for more, he wanted to make sure that I had given his address to his friends. Still competing with his twin brother, telling me what he has accomplished and then asking about Bryce. all the time hoping that he was doing a little better then his brother, this is good it will push them to be at their best. Co-twin were your boys like this!! comparing and wanting to one up the other.

Oh that is nice. You obviously both got a nice experience.

I'm so touched today. One of our local Navy Moms that I have connected with asked for letters to her SR who is in BC right now. I wrote him a couple weeks ago and today I got a letter in the mail from him. I told him that he didn't have to write me, but he did anyway. Twin 2 was with me and asked if he could open it and read it out loud to us. My friend's SR gave advice to Jonathan. It was so sweet. I'm glad I let him open it and read it.

Doubletrouble...thanks for the tip on the t-shirts at Walmart. I found one today :) Now I don't have to worry about the one I ordered online to get here on time. Oh and I hope everything works out for the boys' g/fs to make it there. You've got a LOT on your plate right now. Countdown!

We went to the Great Reno Balloon Races this morning. It was such a beautiful morning and thankfully the smoke cleared out of the area yesterday. We are going back tomorrow because they were supposed to have a "Glow Show" before dawn but the wind picked up suddenly and they couldn't get the balloons safely inflated. Hoping we can catch that tomorrow. It's such an incredible experience...especially because we can be right down on the field where the balloons launch. This is one of my most FAVE events in our area.

Double trouble, was it your older son that had an issue with a crazy roommate? How did that work out?
