Description

My son arrived at RTC on 11/15/11.  His current contract has him as a Mineman and I am looking to see if there are any other Mineman Moms out there that have sons/daughters who are going in or have just arrived!  Mineman is such a small community that it is hard to gather information about the rate, and would like to hear stories or talk about what our children are doing!

    My son has recently arrived at Great Lakes andf I'm wondering if there are any other moms out there that have sons there.  He's waiting to get started.  It will hopefully be soon.  He has met one other mineman while doing painting, scraping on floors,etc.  I'd love to hear from any other mineman…

    I don't really see lots of mineman discussion here.My son is currently in Point Loma, San Diego, CA. Was told that he will be there for his A School till Aug 2017, then he will be off to his next order.Hope to connect with other mineman mom here!!!

  • Leaving for bootcamp Oct 8 2014

    Hi all… my son is leaving for bootcamp on Oct 8 .. he is going to be a mine man.. any information would be very generous.. as far as schooling and the job itself.. I have another son who is a 2nd class petty officer in the nuke field.. mm2 .. things seemed different 3 years ago.. when he went in..

  • leaving for bootcamp 9/10/14

    My son is leaving Brooklyn NY 9/10/14 for the great lakes as a mineman.  He is in the reserves.  Does anyone know how long it will be, can we stay at the Navy lodge, and how long will A school be in San Diego?  What comes after A school?  Does he come home since he is reserves?  Is there more…
