A little about me:
Hi, I am the Mother of 7, my youngest just left for BC so I am a little lost. By profession I am a Recreational Therapist (currently unemployed). Recently moved to our cottage in Michigan, ( down sizing ) you might say. I had started Graduate school in Indiana but with the move have not reapplied to Western yet, kind of thinking about a different major. My husband and I lead a U.S.Naval Sea Cadet unit in Lowell, Indiana. if you are not familiar with sea cadets let me explain. USNSCC is a non profit civilian organization sponsored by the NAVY. we teach and train young people about Navy life. the cadets earn rank by completing coursework and going to trainings. The U.S.Navy is our sponsor, it is similar to ROTC, only we are much stricter. I like to say we run a tight ship.Anyway, I am used to my son going to trainings, but only for a couple of weeks, NOT 8. this is a whole new ball game, plus the fact that this is the real deal!!! enough about me.....blah blah
I am here to support my

I don't think these guys realize how hard we're gonna tackle them with hugs :)  I don't know how Mya is gonna be able to let go of her brother once she gets a hold of him.  And of course we got Nicholas on our sign!  He's Navy family!

to set up a google alert, go to google and type in USS Carl Vinson and hit "news" at the top. once it brings up news articles scroll down to the bottom and it'll say "create and email alert for uss carl vinson". just follow the directions it gives.

Oh thank you!  :)  Did some wait in the waiting area and then got to sit w/you, or did they have to sit separately?  We'll be ok, except for my dad, he doesn't have a "pass".. thanks! :)

She found out just a couple days later. You would have received a letter in the mail regarding the special seating at PIR if your recruit had received the award. All the same, congrats to him for being nominated! It's definitely an honor, lots of young peoples graduating this week!
