Posted on July 15, 2010 at 6:10pm 2 Comments

Just found out in my letter that I won't be able to spend time with my girlfriend. If I am lucky I get to spend 16 hrs with her. 16 hrs for 700 Dollars. Sit in a car for 28 hrs, spend at least 700 dollars, get to see your girlfriend, for 16 Priceless.

Thanks

Dear NavyforMoms,

I know I might have overreacted with my comments, but I just miss my fiance a whole lot. So I hope you guys can understand, but I will not send a FedEx since it will get her in trouble. I just want to thank everybody for their input, you guys just don't know, well you do know. How hard it is, ecspecally for me, since I never had to deal wit anything like this. All I do is write and write, I wrote 10 cards this weekend, and yet I have to cry "sorry don't like…

Thanks for quick reply.

The comments where all really helpfull, yet I do believe she should have gotten at least 3 of my letters since they were send Priority. So slow is fine, but lazy is not. Especially which what was said in the last letter. She needs to know that I am writting. Sending a FedEx on Monday. At least then I know it is there since they have to sign for it. Then we shall see how long it will take, from Desk to Her.

Thanks again....

Just got my second letter.

Just wanted everybody to know that I am not a Navy Mom, but a Navy boyfriend. My girlfriend left June 14 to go up to Chicago erea, she is in Division 269. She is doing very well which is good. I do have a question, and I hope somebody on here might be able to help me. She wrote that she did not get a lot of letters from me, pretty much saying, that I should write everyday. Which I have been doing. So my question is, is the mail service just slow, or do they withhold mail, until a certain date?… Continue

That's ok - you do not have to discuss anything you did in the armed forces. Somethings are better left unsaid!!!! Glad you consider the US home and thank you for your support!! What rate will your girlfriend have when she finishes bootcamp?

Flo1983,
I'm glad you are finding support regardless of where it comes from!!! If I can help in any way please let me know. You said you have some military experience - did you serve also?? Both my husband and I are vets - we served during Vietnam. And believe me - it's always good to have connections with other individuals in the Navy!!!! When does your girlfriend graduate from bc and what and where is her A school?

P.S.
Forgot to mention - you said in an earlier comment that your girlfriend's mother was on this website. If she isn't a member of the Moms of Daughters 2 group, please tell her to stop by and check in!!!

Welcome to N4M. I see you have gotten the hang of this site already. A supportive "significant other" is important to the sailor regardless of whether is bf or gf. Let us know if you have any questions.
1. Boot Camp Moms group. Just about to go into Bootcamp? or already in?

Check your page (click on MY PAGE) & status box (INBOX, FRIENDS, SETTINGS) often. If you don't you'll never find out what messages your new N4M friends have left

Best of luck, BunkerBee and AbbyblueOK (from the New Moms Stop Here Group)
