LOL!  It was funny!  I was just happy that I knew what was going on!  My daughter was so funny about it.  She is 6.  She was thinking about the dirty clothes when we were driving to gymnastics that night and says "mom, are you going to wash Garrett's clothes and send them back"  So I explained to her that he wasn't allowed to have them right now...and she says...."YOU MEAN HE HAS TO BE NAKED".  I love the innocence of the 6 year old mind :)  It was so funny.  I had to pull over, I was laughing so hard!  I of course explained he would get given the clothing he was allowed to have, like the Navy Recruiters wore.  That made her feel better.  And I was on Zulily.com last week and saw Halloween costumes.  Helen has decided against being a princess this year...she chose a sailor outfit.  Soooo cute!

You were right!  Our boys are in the same ship/div!  I was so happy when I received the form letter and note from my son on Friday.  And the dirty clothes last Tuesday :)

MOMOFTOM:  your son has recieved a big honor.  His job description which can be found under RTC site has a place for recruiys tab that will tell you about Recruit Officer Provisions.  My son had the same position but was moved to MA due to a mixup.  He is in a mixed division which requires that a guy and girl have that position, but they RTC named two guys by mistake.  Anywho..He is actually the lead officer for his entire Division under the RTC.  He reports to them daily which my son said was difficult because if anybody screws up they hear about..if you know what I mean.  Sometimes for hours! LOL  So, congrats...

Got the form letter today and the address and graduation date that Beccas's recruiter gave me were correct, which is good because I've already mailed out a few letters.  She was also able to write a short note at the bottom of them form.  I am so happy right now.

I got "the box" today.  In it was a short note from her.  It was great to she her handwriting.  Have you got your form letter yet?

HI Momoftom- I accepted your friend request- no worries- that is what we are here for, to meet new folks right?  I got my SR's address, ship number etc. from his recruiter.  You can call your recruiter and he can look it up in the computer.  I understand sometimes it can change- but he said he would bet his paycheck on it. LOL

3/1 tomorrow, I think

Heard from my SR on Wednesday. Today is Sunday.  SO happy to hear from him, and so unreasonably jealous and selfish to hafta share him with the rest of the family.  Thru this N4m site I've learned lots, and it was annoying to hear hubby, our dtr and son all asking him questions I coulda answered, when I had so much to ask him and so much time I wanted to give to HIM to tell us what…

Missing you more than usual today, honey

Posted on July 9, 2012 at 9:42am 1 Comment

Today we leave on a 3 wk family vacation to Alaska to see our eldest son, his wife and baby.  I'm missing you Tom, and wish you were going with us to lend the brevity you always do, as Dad and I are arguing going into the trip, like always. (grin)  You've made us so proud.  Accepting the RCPO position and striving to keep it is huge, and impressive.  You are born to lead, my gentle…
