OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Hi my name is brittany, I saw that you had posted on a discussion that your son is an aviation tech. I believe my husband is the one you were asking about, he is a aviation tech as well and will be going to pensacola for school.

Hi, welcome to Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones). I look forward to sharing this journey with you. Your Username appears to contain your last name; if so, you should change that and the URL to this page. Numbers 1 and 2 at the bottom of OPSEC and PERSEC (Making Changes to Your Profile) (clickable link) will tell you how to fix both. There may be other changes you will want to make as well, such as number 3. Be sure to check out the other Pages (found under the pictures of the Members) as well. Join the group, DEP-Leavin for bootcamp in August, to connect with others with loved ones who left the same day and may have PIR together. What is your SR's rating (job/specialty) going to be? There are groups for most ratings and/or "A" Schools and knowing that will help you to better plan for PIR weekend. If your first Sailor is still in; what is his rating and/or where is he statoned? There may be groups for those as well. Take care and blessings to you and yours.
