OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Follow this link for OPSEC Guidelines:

Hi Mary, I didn't see your friend request until sorry!  Yes, my son is on the MOB, but he won't be much longer.  He has taken an IA.  Welcome to Navy4Moms!  How does your son like being on the MOB so far?  He may have already met my son since chances are he got his email set up from him.  He is an IT.  He is also on the ship's VBSS team.  If you want to email me outside the public comment area I can tell you what my son is doing, but I can't tell you on here.  I hope your son loves the MOB and his deployemnt like my son did!

Hi, wanted to welcome you to the AECF group. Looks like you might be counting down the days until PIR - it's such an awesome day. Your son is heading into a great rate with lots of schooling on the front end. My husband was an FC for over 10 years and now our son is an FC as well and is stationed in Hawaii. Expect your son to be in GL for about a year for A school and then he will move to another state for C school. Location and length to be determined at the end of A school. Please let us know if you have any questions that we can help with.
