Hieeee!!!!! Yes graduation was the Best.... What a great job they do on the ceremony! I didnt fly into chicago in time to go to the meet and greet... Our flight was cancelled at the last minute, we were stranded in Denver airport because of a snow storm, and waited 3 and a half hours to be "De-Iced" on the tarmack. what a night mare it was. A four hour flight from home to chicago, turned into a 12 hour ordeal!!!! Oh well, we survived and made it to the ceremony! My son looked more confident, and happy.... it was so good to see him doing so well. He said that he hasent ever  regretted enlisting, and that makes me feel good.I am still missing him alot. maybe I have "empty nest syndrome?" Hahah! Well he has a phone now and I can call him often. He is in florida for "A" school, going into airtraffic control. Hope all is well with you!!!! Talk soon! Dee

My son is going to stay in GL for A school, he is going to be an Operations Specialist, OS. He explained to me that it is similar to air traffice controll but for the boat.  It sounds like they do the radar for the ships, I read somewhere they keep track of what is below the water, in the water and above the water. It will be interesting to learn more about it after boot camp.

Hello, I got my box last Thursday, I was surprised how quick it came. I got my form letter on Monday.  It was so good to see his hand writing.  I am surprised you have not gottenyour box any chance he donated his clothes?  I think there is another Mom on here that hasn't gotten the box.  How are you doing otherwise?  It was so hard when he first left but I am trying to stay upbeat because not once in the nine months he was waiting to leave did he waiver in his decision.  What job will your son be doing?
