OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Please see changes to attending PIR in the PAGES column. The PAGES are located under the member icons on the right side.

Hi Barbara. We are staying at the Red Carpet Inn about a mile from base. We hope to check in around 2:00-3:00 on Thur 3/24. Driving 14 hrs (or more depending on how many times we get lost) from Blacksburg, VA. Bringing my son, Nik Jarrett's two best friends with us.

Now that I know I was off a week I am feeling a little better.  I can see how that happens, my husband has done that he transposed a number wrong on the address and it took a little longer then normal to get to me.  I am just going to keep checking the mailbox for the form letter.  I'm sure my brother is tired, but I know he's having a great time!
