Hello kazzam...this information does help. I spoke to my sailor last night...just a lot of frustration with the new phone he purchased there. It will all work out..as I told him...he hasn't even been there one week yet...things take time. You have a great day today...thank you for taking the time....Navy Hugs!

Hello Kazzam...I read your post on the phones..but did not see any of the replys. My Son is in Yokosuko, Japan. He arrived last Wednesday. He is trying to figure out the phone issue too. We have Verizon..but he has no WiFi on the USS Lassan. Did you get any helpful hints for communication? If so, I sure would appreciate you passing them on. Right now he is calling me direct which I don't mind because I know he is going through a huge transition. Any help would definitly help. Thank you

Hello, I too got my first letter today.  It was short, but that is ok with me as I really did not think he would write at all. The letter started no with hi mom or anything it was " so here is the letter you wanted" (lol) he sounded good said he passed his swim test and got cheated out of the run test cause they had to run 14 labs and not 12??? if it would have been only 12 he would have passed. ( on a side note Kyle did nothing to get ready for PT , so he will have to pay the price ) said time is going fast, feels like it has only been a week not three...also stated that some people not listening so that causes issues.  Ended with " well that is all I have to say" again lol....I was just glad to get a letter and now I know he is doing fine and or paying the price...I am glad that Dalton seems to be doing well also...they will both be fine...take care talk soon, Jo
