Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Profile Information

A little about me:
My son left for Boot Camp Dec.5,2011.
graduates on Feb.3,2012,He joined right out of high school.
I have been told he will be an aircrewman.
We live in Alvarado,Texas my son grew up here from age one.
I raise Pomeranian dogs .

I am so proud of my son !!
My house is too quiet without my son and his friends.
I got to talk to him today and he sounded very depressed.
and of course every time I go into town ,.everything I drive by holds a memory.
we were told he would go to PCola next .I just can't wait to talk to him more.

Feb 26,2012 classed up in Pcola (Aircrew) I am so proud of my son and relieved that he actually gets excited about his new job now ! HOOYAH!

update March 9,2012
my son is in candidate school right now.he has phase 2 liberty and seems to be getting comfortable with his military life .

Update Jan,14,2013 My son left on deployment this morning on The USS Truman .his rate is A.O. I'm feeling a little lost ,I hope he loves it ! Their only out for a month then back and out again within 4 days .

UPDATE:July 2013 , out for a 9 month deployment on The Truman. its not getting any easier for me, He came home for July 4th and left on 13 back to Norfolk for deployment. heart wrenching goodbyes.
