Hi Mary..Is your son getting any leave time before he deploys? My daughter is expected to pull in about the middle of June.I just spoke with my son-in-law to figure out when we'll go out again to see her after that.Would love to see the ship come in but won't intrude on their reunion.Just knowing she's back home with her baby will make me feel better. She said they'll be pulling out in Nov. again for another 6 months. Not good. She's better at this than I would be.Hope you get a visit with your son before he ships out. Take care.

I know just how you feel Mary. The anticipation of what we don't know is the hardest part.If I'm not sure what is going on..I'll have so many crazy scenerios thought up that are no way close to what's really going on.When I finally did talk to my daughter after she was under way..I told her that the reason I was having such a hard time was because I felt that I was feeling all of her anxiety.Once I knew she was fine I could breath again. She has a 15 month old baby girl that I am terribly worried about. We went out to SD last week to visit the baby and my son-in-law.So now I am feeling the baby's confusion and lonliness as they really don't know anyone else out there except Molly's friends.I wanted to bring her back to NY with us but...not gonna happen.I have an Easter package going out to her in the am..I know it probably won't get there in time and hope the choc peanutbutter balls don't melt!Well, got a busy day at work tomorrow so better get to bed. This is such a great diversion though.Sleep well.

Hi Mary,Just wanted you to know that I changed my profile name from cindy in paris. When I joined  I used a user name from my e-mail and the name just didn't make sense for here. How's it going today? Do you hear from your son often?I'm not used to hearing from my daughter so infrequently. She's always had shore duty and would call home 2-3 times a day.Now it's every couple of weeks. In the beginning I was a wreck like you feel but it did get better.Mostly because I know she's enjoying her ship and has made good friends. And this site helps.Take care and keep in touch.
