OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Glad to see your post earlier. We're almost there. Jen posted yesterday that Jason put in his letter that he and my son Brandon are now bunkmates. I'm not sure why they moved them, but I'm glad to know someone's mama that is bunking with my son. At least I know his bunkmate has love and support behind him. I will definitely seek you out on Friday. I'll be wearing black capri pants and a red top. I'm not very tall so you might have to look hard (ha-ha)

I know what you mean about thinking things through. I have three girls left at home, but they are 18, 17 & 15 so they will be gone soon too. But I don't think it will be as hard to them to go to college as being gone to boot camp. I too have been reading Jen's post. She seems very nice. I told my son's fiance about this website but she's not gotten on it (not a great relationship to say the least). I haven't gotten a letter yet, I'm praying for tomorrow. I know they all are doing different stuff, but still lol.
My oldest daughter graduates from high school on the night of the 20th so we will have to fly. We will be flying on a very small plane (6 seats), so I'm praying for good weather. I'm not missing this for the world. I've already made hotel reservations at Red Carpet Inn $56 a night and free shuttle to and from graduation. I had also made reservations at Residence Inn but found out today they are not going to continue their Navy rate after May 17th (because it's their peak season). Talk to you soon
