Profile Information

A little about me:
I'm a newly wed into the Navy with my 4 year old son; and one on the way. I am from the area we are stationed but I don't have many friends. I'm looking for someone in the Connecticut area to hang out with, with kids around my son's age who understand the Navy way and who can support me as I support them.

I've already met one super cool chick who I have become best friends with, just from this site. I'm always open to meeting more wives though... I know how lonely it can be!

I wouldn't have met my husband if not for the Navy, so it's been a great experience so far. Underways sucks and I'm sure deployments will be harder, but thank God we have each other!
Our Navy experience so far...
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

Deployment Doom

Posted on March 16, 2011 at 3:00pm 0 Comments

My husband is safe at home with another underway scheduled for at some point within the next month or so, and I'm hearing of other women around me whose husbands will be deployed. Two of their husbands are on the same boat. They will be gone from May til November, according to one husband of  friend of mine's the boat that is being deployed is a "good boat." My husband was stationed on a boat that was out of commission for quite a while and is constantly being worked on. All I have to say…

Every Day Hardships

Posted on March 8, 2011 at 10:30am 2 Comments

My husband just got home from a two week underway. Two weeks with him being gone and I felt lost. I wrote him emails constantly (once I figured out his boat address), and sent texts to his phone (even though I knew he couldn't receive them). I moped in my pajamas, on the couch, the recliner, or in my bed, for the first three days he was gone. It doesn't help that I'm pregnant and hormonal, not to mention I have a history of being easily susceptible to depression. The day he actually left I said… Continue

My Loving Husband

Posted on March 1, 2011 at 11:59am 1 Comment

Every day I thank God for the man I met, fell in love with, married, and became a family with. We have our struggles, as does every couple, but I would not change this for the world. I long for him when he is not around and he drives me crazy when he is. But I still love him, and always will. He took on my son as his own and together we will have a baby! Our family is not complete, but every growing. He's only gone for 2 weeks this time, but I still miss him! I've made my vows to him, that I… Continue

i use to get stressed out by everything because its so overwhelming but all we can do is take it one day at a time.. Your main purpose is making sure you and your baby are fine.. Do what you can that day and remember there is always tommorrow.. sometimes we get worked up with what we have to do and nothing gets done..
