Hi Theresa, it was really nice talking with you at the meet and greet today. It will be hard when your son leaves but you have a huge support group here at navy for moms. Be strong and hope I see you at the next meet and greet in may.

Hi Teresa, sorry to be so late in replying back, I didn't see your comment for some reason until now. It was great to meet you too.  Be sure to come to the next meet and greet at Travis. There will be some real veteran moms there that can answer any questions you have!

It was great to meet you and I am so glad you came. My first M&G was last January and I felt the same way. I didn't know what was going on and these women answered all my questions. I am just paying it forward! See you at the next M&G, maybe!

OK. First, go ahead and click on the link in the previous comment. Then I can introduce you to the San Fran Group. We'll start with finding out who has someone leaving or BC in April. Then I find you the same group with families from all over the country.  In the group, there is a directory of members in the East Bay. Actually, there are quite a few. You can always ask if anyone wants to have get together for lunch or coffee at anytime.  Just post a comment. The meet and greets are the best thing about this site.  There is nothing like having local support.

Happy new year. Please join our wonderful San Francisco Bay Area Navy Families group (clickable link - be sure to click +JOIN when you get to the group's page). We have members in San Fran area, in Marin, in the East Bay and South Bay. We have two meet and greets in the East Bay this spring, one in Petaluma (Jan) and one down the Peninsula (May or June). The info is on the group's page.  You'll love the local support.

BunkerQB, admin

When will your son be going to bootcamp? I'll try to find other whose sons/daughters are also starting BC at the same time.
