I sure am missing my daughter alot. It is hard not being able to hear her voice. I know her kids and husband must be having a hard time too. I hope she is doing ok. Can't wait to hear what ship she is in and what day she is supposed to graduate so I can buy my airline tickets. It is hard not being the one who will get the paperwork and "the box". But then again, getting the box could be hard on me too. Been going through the emotional roller coaster. Sure hope it gets easier. I am…

I was glad to read your blog. My son leaves from Ohio on Aug 7th for Great Lakes also. Sounds like they may be together. He is going into Hospital Corpsman and he is really looking forward to it. I am so proud of him but he is my only child and I am not sure how I will deal with it.. I cry already! I have told him that it has been such a joy to watch him grow into the man he is and I know that the Navy will help him even more.

Finally found the site that other families are part of the same ship/division, nice to read that everybody is going though the same as us. Anybody know why our ship/division has males/females? how do they decide this? Not having a problem with it just wondering.

I wanted to add a special thank you to Sarge for the wonderful time at the meet and greet for the 02/10/2012 PIR Division's graduation and to let everyone know for all the upcoming PIR graduations we found out that Sarge provides food at his own expense from local restaurants. He does this because of the love that he has for all the sailors and their families and his willingness to help them. He is a wonderful man and to show our appreciation for what he does if you could give him even…
