Hotel recommendations for early to mid September time frame

Hi Everyone,  I am planning on being at  PIR in September, God Willing,  I am starting to research hotels, because I want this to also be a mini vacation.  What are your recommendations.  I have seen two that are right on the lake, however, worried about distance to PIR.  Also what is the weather like in September?

Thank you in advance!!!
