Breathtaking Ceremony...

We just got back from our son's PIR graduation on Friday.  It was simply amazing and took my breath away!  They were all so focused and did an amazing job.  It was all I could do not to jump from my seat to go get my son. As soon as we heard, "Liberty Call" we rushed to him and I hugged him so hard and of course cried with pride!  Unfortunately, he was SO sick.  He had a migrane, Pink eye, and a temp of 104!  He pushed through, but he was shivering uncontrollably. Fortunatley, I take migrane… Continue

the eggshell problem

I'm blessed to be a mom of four~ 3 boys and 1 girl~ they are the treasures of my heart.
What joy they have brought to my life!
and oh, what worry!
From day one our children are a mixed blessing. They fill our hearts to the very brim with love, happiness, hope and dreams of their glorious futures. And they can paralyze us with…

Click on the link below to watch this sure to bring tears reality show. I'm glad they have made a show like this. I have to agree with Marine Lt. General Kelly that........

"The American public is largely unaware of the price its military pays to fight the United States' distant conflicts. Less than 1 percent of the population serves in uniform at a time when the country is engaged in one of the longest periods of sustained combat in…

Boot Camp Graduation Question

My boyfriend graduates 4/22 and I'm not sure how any of this works. My mom wants to bring me and stay in a hotel for that weekend. I'm confused about where we're supposed to be going and if my mom can bring me because she wanted to go. My boyfriend's father is going and he's driving up for the day and going back that night. I wasn't sure if we had to do anything for this to get in. If there's a list I'm sure his father and sister would be on it but I'm not sure how any of this works. :p Any… Continue

Grad and Go Question

My SR is a grad and go.  After reading through conversations on this site, It appears that I will be able to spend time with her at the airport while she waits for her flight and I will be able to give her cell phone to her at that time.  I just want to confirm with someone that when she arrives at A school in Pensacola she really is allowed her cell phone from the start.  Also, would she be allowed to have a backpack with a change of clothes (civilian clothes & tennis shoes)??  Or will…

Ice Cream Therapy.

Creamy vanilla goodness, with ribbons of decadent caramel throughout. Throw in some chocolate cups of caramel and you've an orgasm in your mouth. But if you've ever tried to drown your sorrows in ice cream, you know it doesn't really work.

They might make it seem like it's helps on TV, when a girl gets dumped or her boyfriend lies to her.…

Life Sucks (the money out of my wallet.)

I'm broke. And not only am I broke, I have nowhere to turn. I wish Popeye could help me out. Especially since when he was broke I was always the one who helped him out. But he can't, he's all the way in Illinois. My parents can't help me out because they're just too busy. And my friends just won't and I wouldn't ask them to. I would never ask Popeye either but I know he would help me because he loves me and he knows I've…

navymom'sHealthcare

Hi Rose, I hope that this gets to you on the Navy mom's in Healthcare site. I hope it will be helpful to know that there is another mom out there who feels like you do.  It is very helpful to me when I hear from my son from his ship by e-mail every few days.  I have asked him if he would like letters too and magazines and yes he would.  So FYI, the e-mails aren't enough....Barbara in PHX

It's a Bad Day.

My heart hurts. I don't know why some days are so hard in comparisson to the others, but today is one of those days. Why do I have to be the one left behind?

I try to tell myself that I'm fine but that's simply false. I am surrounded by people who can't understand. The one person who has been there for me no matter what is across the country and…

Hubby leaving for boot in 1 week.....shoes???

My hubby is leaving for boot camp in one week and we are getting different info.

Does anyone know if he will be able to keep his own running shoes?

If he can what do they need to look like? He would like to break them in a little if he could.

feeling so alone...i hate being away from him.

So my boyfriend left to Boot Camp in chicago, ill, the 2/23. This feeling of lonliness is horrible. I miss him so much. I try my hardest to keep myself busy with friends, movies, etc but i find myself thinking about him constently. I know that it's only going to get harder after boot camp because he will be gone for months at a time. I know I have to be strong for both of us and I will stay true to my word.
