While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

another day closer and it does not seem that far away now. at first i was at a loss, and now that i just got my second call from him yesterday and i am waiting for my second letter this week, i can now see a light at the end of the tunnel. Good mornign all,
I got my phone call this morning from my son. This is the first one and it has been 17 days :(
It was wonderful and what a relief to hear his voice. He sounds a little stressed and missing home a bit , but for the most part he sounds like he is doing well. He says he is doing good, sleeping ok and the food is alright!!!! They did the swim test and he passed so he was happy!!!
I hope everyone else gets there phone call if you did not already sometime…

A txt from my husband came to me at work last night that stated " he has sent a letter" :):) I could not get home quick enough to open it. yesterday, as i had to leave early for work, i should home late last night to find the fed ex missed label strapped to my door. I am hoping that it will get here before I leave today. If not, I have signed to have it left for me . I am also hoping that soon the "form letter" will get here so that I can send all of the letters I have wrote thus far. Hello All,
My son shipped to boot camp on 4/4/13 and as I am the proudest mom ever, it is also the hardest thing I have ever done. As most of the time I am the "proud mom" I have come to realize that I have my down time as well.
