We just found out that our son is being held over to redo his run and won't be graduating with his div on Friday. He did say that where he is now he will be eligiable for a leave during that time. Will we be able to see him on Friday even if he is not graduating.

well, I got my sons clothes today in a brown box with nothing else. I was wanting there to be a letter in that box from him but nothing. he has only been gone almost a week but it seems like forever. I know it will get better, I know it.

It's surreal how quickly the time has gone. It seems like just yesterday I wrote the first blog post, and now we're down to single digits.
In 6 days Josh will leave the house, travel to Boise, check into a hotel and get on a plane the next day to start perhaps the biggest adventure of his life. I'm thankful that we will be able to spend the evening with him (that he wants us to!), hang out and enjoy a few last moments before he departs.
It will be so strange not having him at…

He called me last Tuesday 6/11/13 and said he was about to arrive at basic so it was the last time we had talked. He mentioned that I will receive a package in 3 weeks. I have already received a package with the clothes he was wearing when he left for the Great Lakes. Some of my thoughts are:

I got my letter yesterday saying my son was on SHIP 03 DIV 288. Is there anyone else on here that has a son/daughter here?

My son's PIR is July 3rd and I have yet to receive his form letter. He told me when he called that he was in medical when the form letters were done and we've gotten just a few personal letters since then. With his PIR coming up soon, I'm afraid I won't get the password (on the form letter) to print a parking pass. What can I do?

Well, Chrissy's 4th Navy Anniversary was last month. I was filled with so many mixed emotions, I couldn't update my blog. But I am going to try now.
She renlisted, so I am in for the long haul, at least until 2017. I was hoping she wouldn't, but when she joined up she said she wanted to do the whole 20 year career thing. My thougth back then was , let's just take this thing one day at a time and see how much she likes it.
Turns out she is thriving in the miltary. She got…

It has been a year since my husband joined the navy and six months since he left for boot camp. As of right now he is in for four years active followed by four years on reservs. He is stationed in Cuba and will be there for about three years. My question is does his four years start as soon as he enlisted or when he left for boot camp or when? I hear different things and not sure which is right. Does anyone know for sure?
Thanks

Well My Sailor is done with A school and came home on June 13th, it was awesome all his family was at the airport to greet him. He will be stationed in San Diego for the next 3yrs, we were praying for San Diego and the lord answered our prayers. This will make it a lot easier for us to see him more often. He will be deploying on August 22 he was assigned to the USS Boxer. I am very proud of this Young Man who has grown up so fast and who has chosen this great path to fight for our Country. I…
