I'm sp proud of my son for taking the initiative and enlisting in the Navy. He's very independent, smart, and determined and I'm certain he'll be fine.
But, his independence is driving me a bit crazy! He has shared little information with my hsband and I about what has happened.....well, he's told us things after the events happened! He's been living on his own for awhile now and is very self sufficient. But, he's still only 20 years old and I wish he would talk to us more about these…

I'm in the middle of going threw a separation and I'm not sure what to do. We have been married a little over 3 years and I can not take anymore nor do I want our daughter watching and raised around it. We are currently going threw marriage mediation and I am staying with him for the time. I need a lawyer but can not afford one due to the fact he keeps all the money in his own account that I have never had access to and he keeps all the income tax money. I've had an appointment with JAG but…

Hello I am new to this site so bear with me. My son is leaving for RTC on July 8th with an EC rating in the Navy Reserves. There seem to be different answers as to whether he needs to go to "C" school right away or not because he is in the Reserves. Any insight would be appreciated!

It seems like more than the 2.5 weeks it's actually been since that wonderful phone call, "I'm a member of the United States Navy!" That he had to retake the PRT one time seems, as I knew it would, like an inconsequential matter after we received word that he'd passed the Battle Stations. I still haven't seen him since early April, but just to be able to text by phone or have an occasional conversation still seems like such a treat. Oh my, he has changed.!
Sisters whose young ones…
ContinueSo now that my son's PIR date has changed how do I get the gate pass? I assume we will be put on the list for next Fridays PIR?

So now that my son's PIR date has been moved, hopefully, I need to find out about hotels again. Someone posted a list of hotels that were recommended. I'm not sure where I saw it, here or on Facebook. At this time I'm not sure of his PIR date, should know more on Monday. I'm just nervous that if it's going to be the first week of July I won't be able to get a hotel room.

My son left for RTC on 6/15/2015 and unfortunately, I missed his "I'm here" one minute call. Although, I am trying to hold it together, "the box" hasn't arrived and as a result, I don't have an address to write to him yet. I shouldn't be anxious and I keep telling myself that no news is good news but in my head, I am wondering if his box has been lost in the mail. I wake up in the middle of the night thinking about him and his wellbeing. When I had to leave my 23…

Help....my son just called and said he may not graduate on 6/26/15 and he may be discharged. He is now in the area for injured SR's. Is there a phone number or something where I can call him? I thought I saw something about that before but can't find it now. Thank you

I just found out the hotel we're staying at for PIR does not offer a shuttle to PIR. So now I need advice on getting to PIR on time. My husband is very relaxed on time and doesn't rush for anything and that is stressing me out. Although we were on time for my step-sons Army bootcamp graduation. Stressing now...ugh!!!

My son is taking me along for this ride, and it's an unexpected one! I just found out last week that Brian was talking to a recruiter and thinking seriously about joining the Navy. It's was a shock to know that he took the first step without talking to his dad or I. I was an emotional wreck for awhile! But, I'm so proud of him!
He went to take the ASVAB and have a physical today. He scored well on the practice test, so I'm sure he'll be fine taking the real thing. And, he's healthy…
