The Box Came on Monday!

So, the box arrived Monday.  We were excited and sad at same time.  I don't know about anyone else, but I just think its weird to have the items come in that box.  I cried when I smelled his shirt.  Gosh I miss that boy!  I have letters written already, but now we're just waiting for the address.

Yesterday should've been in P5 day.  I pray he did well on his running test.  Like they say "no news is good news" and I'm sticking with that.  Its 103 here in my place of TX and I'm glad…

final PFA

I am assuming we would of received a phone call if she failed her final run. I know she was taking it on Monday and don't know how long it would take for them to call if they fail. Does anyone know?! Praying for all our SR this week.

Power Of Attorney

Hello all, I just wanted to put this out there for any parents who may have children leaving for BC. Our SR left May 8th 2018.  Before he left we had a conversation about all of his bills. I told him while he was gone that I would take care of stuff for him. Car, tags, insurance, a credit card, and a few other things. I didn't realize at that time that we should have gotten paper work drawn up for me to be his power of attorney. I went to the DMV to try to deactivate his tags on his car, it…

So far no news, We made it to Tuesday! My SR is in a lower number Division in the graduation line and by my GUESS he has done his run and so far no news. I actually think we are in the clear unless they are waiting for tomorrow to have him call. I will relax at this time tomorrow but feeling better. I wrote him a Sandboxx today and have 1 more before graduation.  I need to think of something to say in both that and the final written letter. We…

Confused about phone call

Hi everyone,

My daughter shipped for boot camp on 5/23, she would have done her 1.5 mile run on Friday (probably) so I figured I'd probably receive a call by Wednesday stating she was coming home/being separated if she didn't pass ( the first or second try). I have been concerned about the run due to the fact that she was told NOT to exercise because she needed to gain weight for MEPS, therefore she didn't practice running.  I received a call this afternoon stating " This is a…

June 2

I left town so I haven't had time to blog and no news to blog (hallelujah). I am getting nervous because I know the final Fitness test is soon or happened. It will be his final chance. I am trying to relax but Friday I was jumpy nervous. My phone would ring and I would panic. Today I am better and expect will be fine tomorrow. Monday and Tuesday?? Can I relax by Wednesday? I know I am driving myself nuts. I am my own worst enemy. I need to relax because after he was no longer sick he said he…

A few days before BC

So it's just a couple of days before our son leaves for BC and I am very anxious.  I know that he will be able to write letters at some point, but do they get to call at all?  If so, do we need to have some kind of calling cards or something for him?  We only have cell phones and not a house phone.  Any advice?
