She will be stationed on a battle ship in San Diego and I live in Florida. I know its not about me but I still am allowed to be sad about it. I can't afford to visit be alot of phone and facebook chats. Texting also. I hope…

Re: PIR gift

Thank you for all your advice. I don't know if he is a grad and go. When does a person find out this type of info? I got my first letter from him with no mention of it but confident that he will come through with flying colors!

answers?

Hi. I just have a few questions that hopefully can get answered here :) My husband is in the Navy. Right now he is deployed. He is scheduled to come back in either January or February. He is stationed at Camp LeJeune, NC and will be there for at least another 2 years. We got married in April of this year. We have two children together. We live in Wisconsin. I just wanted to know If the Navy will pay for us to move our stuff there, including my car? I have been hearing a few different things. We… Continue

Naval Recognition of Eagle Scout

My son is a recent Eagle Scout and getting ready to DEP. Next month he will attend his last Boy Scout Court of Honor. Does the Navy have a certificate they can use to recognize an Eagle Scout? I know the Marines do ... it's a Good Citizen certificate.

Thanks.

My son leaves for boot camp Sept. 7th.

Hello! I'm a first timer. I have 3 son's and my middle one is heading off to Boot Camp. He signed a contract and passed testing for Seals. So after regular boot camp, can anyone tell me what's next. I'm PROUD, scared, confused, worried, sick. Just wondering if any of you mom's out there have a child doing the same. Thanks!

What can I expect, my daughter graduates from bootcamp...

tomorrow. She stays in Great Lakes for a few more weeks but then is assigned to DDG83 Howard. She was born in San Diego when I was stationed at North Island but I was never on a ship. What can I expect??

Maybe I'm just naive, but it still warms my heart & humbles me at the generousity of strangers. I'm speaking of inside the "Navy For Moms" community and out "in the world". We've been shown, for some, would be small generosities & courtesies, but for us, they seem huge and appreciated. Thank you "JessicaBnavymom" for the links related to Bahrain & MAA's. It was sweet of you to take time to repond to my meanderings! Take care all. ccw Continue
