Hi there, my son left for BC on 9-13-15. Other than the 20 second phone call from him, I haven't heard anymore from him. Waiting for his form letter with his PIR date to come in the mail with his address so i can begin writing him. I have read some other blogs on here regarding his second phone call and I was wondering, do I have to mail him a prepaid phone card in order for him to call us again, or will he be able to make that call another way? Just wanted to get some answers before i…

@ Samantha's mom,I'm glad you got the call.. I also received my daughter's call yesterday evening and it felt GREAT!! She remained pretty strong until she heard my voice and we both broke down together. Out of my three she is my only daughter and we have a very tight bond. Can't wait to see her and give her the tightest hug ever..

Dear all navy moms and other navyformoms.com members. I am in desperate need of some advice and all input is welcome.
I am a 19 year old male that is currently thinking about joining the navy, I am interested in traveling the world and meeting new people and hopefully learning a lot of new skills. I do have a lot of doubts though. My mom (being like most moms) is very concerned and obviously doesn't want to see her last born leave and go into the navy so she doesn't give me a lot of…

My daughter left for bootcamp on 26/8/15. Does anyone know of anyone in division 359? Today marks 3 weeks since she left and I'm trying to wait patiently for her call but it's truly hard. I know NO news is good news but I just can't wait to hear her voice. How long is the call?

Hello,
I'm new to this site so I'm still trying to get familiarized with things. I really need a good friend to talk t because I'm about to worry myself crazy. My son just left for boot camp yesterday and I'm so worried about him. He told me that it would be three weeks before he could call home again and that really freaks me out. Not knowing how he' doing everyday is going to be so nerve wrecking for me. I really need someone to help me through these next 8 weeks.

Happy, happy, Joy, joy! I have looked at her letter, address and the information contained herein more times than what would be considered normal. I have a sense of peace now that the letter arrived. I just got back from the post office where I mailed 8 envelopes, containing 13 total letters. I told her I would number them so she would know the order written in. I am fine if she does not write back since I know that sleep is a premium and her free time, exceedingly limited.
While I…
