Hello Navy Moms, I am also new to this. My son left on Dec. 13 and I didn't recieve his "box". His father did and he says that it did not contain his mailing address on it. My letters, to him, are pilling up. So could someone please help me find him, so that his sisters and I can send to him our love. Thank you, Joleen

Hello - first time here and not a usual blogger so please forgive if this is the wrong place.
I would love to get your thoughts and recommendations on the most cost efficient place to stay. I'm not looking for the cheepest hotel, but rather taking into account shuttles, taxis, car rentals - what makes the most sense? For example, the Navy Lodge doesn't provide shuttle service and the breakfast is very light - no restaurants on site or close enough to walk too. The Residence Inn does…

Just a fyi for all us moms who send our sailors presents through the mail, I went to Sears to buy a gift for my son and they did not have the exact size I was looking for was told could order it right there and ship to him free, Great I thought. Well that was 12 days ago and still no package and Sears will not even tell me when it will be shipped. They have the same product on sale again this week with plenty in stock in the store but have not shipped the one I paid cash for in the store.…

I didn't think it would be as hard to say goodbye this time as it was the first time he left. But I was mistaken. I've spent the last two days in tears dreading him leaving again.
I'm beginning to wonder if I will ever be able to handle letting…

No matter where life takes you from sea to shining sea,
A crossed the many oceans and far away from me,
There is a piece of my heart that only you will have the key.
So each night I will think of you and see your handsome face,
Remembering when you were little and took challenges at a steady pace,
Keeping in my mind that this is the life that you have put in place.
The Navy is the next step that will allow you to continue…
