Woke up this morning with my son on my mind so heavy wondering what  he is doing and did  he eat breakfast. He is really not a breakfast eater he like to eat at noon time. I found myself crying again am trying to think postive, am trying to be happy for him but I can't stop wondering if he is okay or not. Am writing letters ready to put them in the mail, wondering when am get the address to send them to him. This is nerve wrecking

  Thinking of my son this morning ..waited with my girls at the bus stop & went for a morning brisk walk. Not that my son would have been up but just thinking of him. Wondering what bc schedule is , haven't got a clue when sailor in a box will be coming. I looked on face- book on the Navy Great Lakes boot camp this very helpful .  Pictures and links. I was in C school, down at Fort Gordon, near Augusta, Georgia. Very strange being in the small Navy Det on an Army base! We were a tight bunch of sailors, even liked the sailors we didn't like. Which makes no sense, but you have to have been there to get that.

Today was okay I tried to stay busy and not think about it to much. But I still found myself talking about him and wondering if he is ok. This is the first time my son have been away from me I belive he is okay I think it's me having a hard time dealing with him been gone. I just can't stop thinking about him ready to get a letter so I can write him got so much to tell him. 

I was stationed in Yokosuka, Japan at the Communications Station. Many of us in the ET shop were very good friends, along with some of the radiomen from tech control and even one of the young ensigns. Yes, she wasn't supposed to "fraternize" with us enlisted pukes, but hey, young men and women like to hang out with each other!

I can not believe how fast the time has gone since my daughter left for boot camp, I thought I would be crying and sad all the time but the truth is it went by so fast and now she graduates next Friday, I am so proud of her and am so looking forward in spending what time we have after graduation with her.

Any advice?  We will fly in Thursday and be there nice and early Friday.  Are a little confused about how much we will

see him after Friday as he goes to Florida for training.  One report is that they are leaving Saturday and another person

says "no", they leave on Sunday.  I guess we will stay through Sunday....just in case.  A Mammaw

   last night got the call from bc. It was short & sweet next is the waiting for sailor in a box . Going back to work today seems the past 2 days are a blur .... trying to keep busy and move forward

My son left today for BC am sad an proud at the same time..... Do anyone have an Idea  what I could expect?

We just booked the flight for our son to come home from Pensaola for 2 weeks starting Dec 21st!!!  Can't wait to finally be able to spend some time with him other than the "drive-by" we had after PIR in September.  Hopefully many, many of you will be able to do the same with your sailors!!!

Last week, my son Austin, who is a senior this year, informed us that he also wants to enlist in the Navy. WOW! Can I be more proud? Then...wow...

Can my heart handle another one??? 

Yes, yes, it can!!!

Austin filled out the initial paperwork and will go to MEPS in the next couple of weeks.

He will leave for boot camp during the summer after he graduates from high school.

so excited and doing double Snoopy Dances.......my son, Rane, has made a special division in Navy Boot Camp - I am so proud of him to be in Division 905 which puts him in the State Flags division.
