Very long day but well worth the effort getting here to see my daughter graduate navy boot camp. Oh so awesome to see her and spend a little time with her... I think i want to start it over again so we can have another day together.The time will come.Feeling very honored to have a daughter serving in the Navy. 

My daughter left today!  I will be trying to wait patiently for my 30sec scripted phone call! I never imagined it to be this hard to let her go! I feel I am be selfish by all these tears but I am just being a mom! I have my 1st letter already written, just waiting for address.

Hello Everyone!

This is my first blog post.  My son has been in the Navy for one year now and we just found out that his home port will be overseas.  How will we be able to communicate with him? I'm imagining the cell phone charges would be through the roof!  Do they get leave time after being overseas awhile???

Help!!! My son will be too far away!

It has taken my daughter a year removed from High School to embark on her Navy journey. While I could not be more proud, I also admit to having some trepidations although that is purely self-motivated.

K met with the recruiters two weeks ago today. She was ready to sign any papers placed in front of her, the only lingering question was "what" she wanted to do. She had a great ACT score, so the possibilities seemed endless. Chief encouraged her to consider Nuclear Engineering, since so…

He'll be home for just 10 days before he leaves for boot camp early next month.  Already the preliminary meeting have brought about growth and excitement in my son that I'd not expected for months yet.
