My son is scheduled to leave for boot camp on May 13. During MEPS they told him that he would have to get a wart removed. He just found out that he may have to have two to three more treatments with two to three weeks in between each treatment. If his wart is not goine before he is suppose to leave, will his ship date be moved out or will they just not let him in?

Our daughter Allie left for basic training March 4th. She called at 1:30am Wednesday March 5th, short conversation but I understand. We received her box with belongings yesterday, I was sad to see that she could not keep her pocket bible along with other items. This is definitely different from my Army basic training. Does anyone know if I can mail her the bible and some pictures? I was hoping to get an address where I could write to her in the box, I guess I have to wait until she writes.…

I pushed this idea.
I have this amazingly intelligent kid that chose not to "excel or stand out " in anything. He made good grades, he was in Marching Band, he was in Boy Scouts - he did however get his Eagle Scout (at the 11th hour).... But otherwise nothing "overly outstanding". He tends to float through life almost undetected - except for being "the kid that never causes any problems and is a pleasure to be around".
