28 days til she ships- how do I get thought this?

Hi Everyone, I was doing fine until this past saturday.  I was at my friends daughter's sweet 16, and it hit, all these emotions- all of her memories of being a teenager- I don't understand it.  I was doing so good and ended the night in tears and just couldn't stop.  Now I'm just really blah- I am really proud of her, and I'm at the point of I don't want her to make me proud, cause she already does- I want her to make herself proud-  How do I go on without my best friend?

Fair winds and following seas to all.

I am doing well! I am now to the point where I am very excited for him and to hear all about it! I am going to miss him terribly but I know that this is a great thing and will be great for him!

Hi Everyone- I am touching base- its getting harder and harder she leaves for GL on Tuesday-  We've had her going away party- this is my last weekend with her living under my roof-- goodness she's only 18 so young.. it scares me to death- in fact I'm afraid of everything concerning her right now.. but I can't hang on the way I want to.. I love her enough to let her go and make her dreams come true it just hurts like heck..  My blue candle is ready for whenever I am thinking about her.. probably should buy more -- I've told her everyday how much I love her and proud of her- she doesn't really listen- I just hope she remembers all I've told her when it gets tough and needs to dig deep-  Our song is now I'm already there by lonestar- My kids are my world- my son wants to join the Air Force in 2 years- wonder if there's a group for moms of the Air Force... So I'll be an emptynester at the age of 44 -- it's scary to think about..

Hope all of you are doing well!
