Driving for the first time since her surgery!

Yvonne had another good week. She walks about a quarter of a mile now, and this week she did it five days in a row. But, here is more exciting news, today after church we went to an empty parking lot and she got behind the wheel of our car for the first time. Everything worked fine and she drove us home! She enjoyed being able to drive again. Praise the Lord for another first! God is restoring her to health and healing her wounds. Thank you Jesus! Unfortunately, she still experiences quite a bit of pain, but that too is getting less and less. Thank you for all of your prayer support!

Wonderful news!  I wish the pain would subside but it's good to see she is improving.

I don't know Yvonne's story but I hope she has a speedy safe recovery.

Jennifer - If you click on John and Yvonne above, it should take you to their profile page. I am not sure if it will go back and show John's other posts, but this is a wonderful couple who have been a part of the N4M site for years and open their home to sailors to join them when they are away from home. Yvonne had surgery several months ago and John has been keeping us posted on her progress.

John and Yvonne, so glad to hear that Yvonne is getting stronger each day!!

Being able to become independent again is such a great feeling.  I know too well, as I have been there after my hip replacement surgery.  Getting behind the wheel is a great accomplishment and one to be proud of!  Congratulations!

So very happy for you Yvonne, you have worked long and hard for this and staying strong in your Faith. You let your light shine bright for others to see and even through the trials your trust in the Lord is revealed. Thank you for sharing your Faith with us!
