Well, he's been gone for 69 hours, which is almost 3 days lol I was ok yesterday but today I'm not so sure yet. I know he's ok but am I? He called when the plane landed around 8 pm. He forgot the weather was so different from here to there (Louisiana to Great Lakes) and got off the plane in shorts! The temp when he left was in the 70s and when he landed it was in the 20's lol. MY POOR BABY!! Well, anyway, he's not a baby anymore and I am learning this. I have come to the conclusion he will ALWAYS be my baby, but I know now it's time, for his sake, to let him become a man. I know that I have had a hand in molding that man and now the navy will polish him for me. I take pride in my motherhood, my children, what they are and are becoming but I give all glory and honor to God, because without HIM in my life, there's no telling what kind of mother I might have been. He's actually the refiner and He's the one who's polishing my piece of gold for me ;) He's just using the NAVY as a tool. Have a blessed day e1 oxoxoxo

Betty Boo... I know your son is missing you I am sure of it.. They have alot of waiting around they are doing the first couple of weeks. But let me tell you the campus they are on is AMAZING... The dorms they live in are beautiful and very clean.. I didnt see them first hand but I saw them in my sons yearbook when it was sent home.. And he said they were awesome.. They have good food too he just said they never seasoned anything.. I know these early days are so very hard.. The unknown of it all is the worst.. And yes they get yelled and PT'd to death but it all becomes clear to them that they are seving their country and they want to be the best in their field and if 8 -9 weeks of bootcamp gives them that they are being given a gift that will last a lifetime through.. So as much as it hurts for us mama's while they are gone, they are being given the lilfe skills they need to survive.. If I can help you any way please let me know...  Anna
