OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

A little about me:
I live in Northern Idaho. I have a 19 year old son who just left for Navy boot camp on May 9th. I have no idea what is going on and a big part of me is freaking out that I don't know where my little boy is. But he's not a little boy anymore I guess...

Anyways, I also have an 11 month old son and 2 stepsons who are 6 and 13. So I am surrounded by boys but especially missing my oldest as he is out on his new big adventure in the Navy.
I am here to support my

That explains why I don't remember you from meps that day...it was more traumatic for me than I thought it would be. Yes we are fairly close to bonners ferry...we are about 45 min from Lewiston...do you know dworshak dam? We live in orofino right below it. I agree...I hope our boys have met too. Are you planning to attend PIR?

Calls for Recruits.org would like you to know about a program for the Men and Women of our Armed Forces.  I am giving away free phone cards for Recruits to use while they are in basic training to keep in touch with Family Members and Loved Ones.  I feel that the Family, Loved Ones, nor the Men and Women of our Armed Forces should have to pay for phone calls from Boot Camp.  Please click the link above and get your new Service Member the FREE phone cards they need.
