I'm currently enrolled in College and have been dating my boyfriend for over a year. I am now engaged to my lovely fiance who is currently enrolled in A school in Pensacola, FL. I'm still looking to use this site to meet more wonderful people and learn more about this Navy family I'm now in :)

When I heard “Navy,” I...

The Navy offers opportunities that...
Absence truly does make the heart grow stronger. And even though somedays seem impossible to get through, we get through them anyways because we are part of the Navy family and God wouldn't have put us in it if we couldn't handle it. We are the strongest women out there and God knew that, that is why he placed our hearts inside Sailors.
Our Navy experience so far...
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

Hi Stacy! Saw your comment on IT A schoolers.

My boyfriend will be graduating boot camp THIS Friday (ahhhh!). The next day, he will be going to Pensacola for IT, also. I don't know what time or airport yet. He said in his latest letter he should start May 1st. He said he will be there approx. 131 days til September something and then have a two week vacation before he starts C school. He said his C school will be in Pensacola, also. Do you plan on moving with your SR? We live in NC and its about a 12 hour drive :( And plane tickets can be expensive. But I hope to visit lots by meeting him in the middle somehow. Anyways, just saying Hi and wondering how your SR is.

Hi Stacy, My son is in Div 194/Ship 3 too. His name is Dan Lape. He graduates on the 29th of April. I'm really excited about it. His brother's in the Army and just finished his first tour in Iraq. Dan has some pretty big shoes to fill. His uncle was a lietuenant commander when he retired. When do they get their orders after A school. That will be in Great Lakes as well. I know he has two weeks of leave after that.

Wow! Texas..that is a good ways away. But yeah we can definitely work something out for when you come visit. And surely our guys will at least know each other, if not become friends! I'm gonna hate the few months that they will be there before they class up high enough to stay the night off base. But hey..its only time right?! :)

Thank you.  He certanly isn't a letter writer and thinking about it, I can see that his emotions might be running too high if his group is not a good one.  He wanted this so badly and vowed to do his best in BC.  Could be a lot of disapointments for him and he doesn't want to share.  I don't mean to bore you.   Thanks again for sharing and I can only pray for him daily and pray that our mailman hurrys up with a letter.  I figure a ph. call would even be harder.

Stacy, I just read your message about you guys getting letters last week.  My heart is breaking because I can't help but wonder why he is not writing.  Hope it is that he is just busy.  Did your son write a lot?  Are things going well in the group?  Anything you can share will be appreciated greatly.

Well our boys will just graduate a week apart! Not too bad. How are you doing so far? I have my lil meltdowns every now and then, but then I just smile soo big because of how proud I am of him! I dono if it's just me, but it seems that the Navy is following me. EVERYWHERE I look I see either a random US NAVY sticker (on the side of a coke machine?)...or an 18-wheeler with the single word 'NAVY' on the back while driving on the interstate...or even the more often mention of ANYTHING dealing with the military and military loved ones that just makes me cry so hard in random places. Pleaseee tell me this is happening to you too! lol...
