Hi, it’s only been 7 days since my daughter left for boot camp and I can’t imagine how
I’m going to make it 8 more weeks without seeing her. Her box just arrived and seeing her stuff makes me miss her even more. Any one else have a recruit that shipped on May 23 or anytime really, just wondering if others feel as sad and lost as I do. I’m happy to have found this group!

Prayer for a good outcome for her. It all depends on when her division filled when the first opportunity was or will be, but yes, you do not want to receive a call. If you do not receive a call on or before next Wednesday, then she passed on either the first or second attempt.

Thanks a lot! Prayers and positive thoughts: )

:o)

Hi ! My son left May 24 th . I received my box last week . I still didn’t recieve my form letter . I hear what your saying . It going to be hard for me as well . I feel sad too. I just keep telling myself this is what he wanted to do . I too am glad there is something like this out there .

My brother shipped out the 24th also. We are anxiously awaiting the form letter!
This is really the only time he has ever been away from is other than a week at camp here or there. My mom is pins and needles waiting on this letter, lol. I hope they are all doing great and can't wait to hear from him!
Looking forward to getting to know you over these next week's!

My son also left on the 23rd, and I am feeling exactly the same way.  I talked to him every day and going on over two weeks without hearing from him is driving me crazy.  Have you received anything else from your daughter other than the box?  Phone call, letter?  i think about him every minute of the day and worry.  I know, how will we make it 6 more weeks?

Hi Ladies I can put some sites down on calls and letter writing first for letters they have to train someone to sort mail I will put some site and it will give you more of when to expect calls and letters ok and as for the form letter I will put that also. Right now think of this as a test because it actually really is for us and for them. at one point in their Journey Communication may be cut never know, so they have to see how they will deal with it. especially when in deployment. so here are the sites. reach out if any questions and thanks for being here on navy Moms!

Let me explain about communication, My son Has been on his first Deployment and it goes from 6-9 months sometimes you have communication sometimes there is none. that is what I meant so testing to see who can handle the long break with communication is really hard and some can handle it and some may not. That is what I meant as a Test. and it is hard for us Moms/Sisiters/Fiances's/Parents in General. Because the "Not Knowing will always get the best of us. Just thought I would explain. the sites below will give more insight as far as calls and letters and form letter. Have a Great Evening.

My son left the 24 th and still no form letter . It’s driving me crazy !

A mom have you read the when to expect my form site, it explains how the letter is sent. Also so does this site.

The Form Letter now arrives 9 to 14 business days after the recruit's arrival at the RTC in most cases.

Arrival and What Happens at the RTC within Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) will let you know what is happening and what to expect.
