Okay, time is starting to go a little faster now, thank goodness.  6 more days tell graduation.  We cant wait.  So I do have a question about tickets and parking.  Do we go to the recruit family welcome center?  Is that in the Navy Exchange? Or do we just show up the day of the graduation and just show ids?   Thank you!

You MUST go to the Recruit Family Welcome Center, located inside the Navy Exchange Burkey Mall, Bldg. 3452, 2650 Green Bay Road Great Lakes, IL 60088 and pick up your ticket BEFORE PIR. The Recruit Family Welcome Center will be open on the following days and times: Thursday [10:00 AM to 7:30 PM], and Friday [5:30 AM to 8:00 AM]. You cannot get onto the RTC without a ticket and it is best to pick up tickets on Thursday if you are able to do that.

Each adult must show proper ID and pick up his or her own ticket. An adult can pick up tickets for young children by bringing the ID for them.

See PIR Day and Liberty during PIR Weekend to help you plan your weekend. There is also info on picking up tickets and more in the form letter you received from your recruit.

Okay, great thank you!

You are very welcome.

If you get there Thursday, grab your
tickets so you wont have to worry about
it Friday morning.

My husband graduated two weeks ago and the traffic can get pretty lengthy and take a while so make sure you have everything for your phone and their cell phone charged and ready to go. Once they are given liberty they are ready to
get out of there for as long as they are given.

We get in Thursday Im hoping we will get there before 730pm to get the tickets, but if not we will be up bright and early to get the tickets Friday morning.  So they say get there two hours before the PIR.  Is that because of the traffic?

Yes, traffic can be get bad beginning pretty early. With 10 divisions, it won't be as bad as when there is a larger TG, but still plan to get there around 6:30 or 7 or before if you are able to do that.

Sounds good.  That will be part of the adventure, with the travel and the time zone change and the excitement of graduation and seeing him for the first time in what feels like forever. I'm be there as early as I can. Is there a place for coffee or water while we wait? Can we bring water bottles?

Hi you have to pick up tickets prior to PIR or they won't let you in. No parking passes anymore just tickets I'd registration of car. To get onto base to park in garage and to get into Cerremonial Hall.
