Need help getting a good shipping address for Lakehurst, NJ Navy base. My son is there and I need to get things shipped to him, but the address I have doesn't work on any websites as a valid shipping address.

The address I have is HWY 547 BUILDING 481 ROOM LAKEHURST, NJ 08733 but when I try to order things for him, it always gives me an error message and says it's not a valid address. I have also tried Walsh Rd Building 481 and also Building 483, Lakehurst, 08722, but those don't work either.

I've looked online but can't find anything different. I also called some numbers on base, but it's hard to get anyone to answer the phone. Can anyone help?

Your son will be your best bet for the address.  What does he say?

He is the one who gave me that address. He hasn't been able to find out anything different, either.

I sent you a PM - check your inbox on your page.

Thank you but that didn't work either. I did get through to a number I've been trying all day, and they gave me a new address, but I tried it and that didn't work either. It doesn't make sense.... I've also tried calling the local post office in Lakehurst, but they don't pick up. I don't know where to turn to get this information. The address I was given a few minutes ago is slightly different, but again it doesn't work on companies websites, including USPS. They dont say it's an invalid address - it says it's a NONDELIVERABLE address. Not sure what that means.

481 Walsh Dr

JB MDL, NJ 08733

I finally got the post office in Lakehurst to answer. I was on the phone with them for 40 minutes today. The lady there was determined to give me a good address. However, with all her efforts, she still was not able to; on the USPS website, everything she gave me still shows up as nondeliverable. She said if I hand address it and take it to the post office, and it gets to Lakehurst, they will deliver it. But that doesn't help to order things online to be delivered to him. After the conversation I tried one of the addresses she gave me and was eventually able to get it into ebay (with some tweaking), so I was actually able to get something shipped today.... and hopefully it will actually get there. In case anyone else needs this information in the future, the address that worked is 38 Landsdowne Ave, and then in the area for apartment, etc. you put in the actual building and room where they are, and also JB MDL. Then the normal Lakehurst NJ and zip. Maybe this will help someone else in the future who has the same problem. For the record, Lakehurst is a tiny base, I believe the smallest one, and they don't even have a chow hall there..... it's that small. So if there are problems there, it's probably not the military's top priority to fix them, since not that many people are affected. I spent about 2 hours on this today calling and trying to figure it out, and even the post office couldn't get it worked out on their own website. Hopefully this may spare someone else from having to go through the same thing. :)
