OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Congradulations to Shawn .......... and the pacific northwest for getting him !
My son was stationed in WA - it was a great place to be stationed. I have been on one of the bases. It is really neat out there!!!! He will love it and you will love visiting.
Thanks....I have and so has Shawn-been having panic attacks since we heard the news...boy is it every complicated....Military trys to make it easy...but nothing in life worth doing is easy..
Mom here is going to have to medicate herself REAL soon-Thank God its is friday.....
You can come visit ........... I will drive up and we can hang out Diane :)
Washington / Oregon are very green .... it rains a lot BUT makes it beautiful. Even Seattle isnt the concrete jungle most cities are. The air is different, the people are very friendly, it is a safer place to be then lets say SD or VA ( the towns, not the bases ) And Seattle whooo that is a fun place. Lots to do, lots of music kind of a hippy flavor to it....in as much as laid back, drinking coffee, mellow people.
I think Everett is about 45 min from Seattle if that. We have a Washington/Oregon forum you could join and ask the Washingtonians some things................ My view is from a visitor stand point ( but Seattle/Portland are not much different ) Seattle is the much bigger sister :)
Pretty area.......... the only thing he will have to get used to is the rain, it does rain a whole bunch. BUT it is the only place I have ever seen where you can walk in the rain and not get wet.
What a great adventure for Shawn.............
I looked it up on Google maps and it looks like a very interesting place:)!
I know its beautiful. We live here in HOT florida and I hate the heat..

I grew up in NY..Long Island and moved to Orlando when Shawn was 1..
I know he will love it there...he LOVES the outdoors and anything to do with it...Call him a "Florida Cracker"
