I got the pillowcase mailed today to the inujred sailor in Japan. The fabric was navy blue with patriotic smiley faces on it. Red back.
I would love to make one from each state. if anyone finds fabric that is from your state (in AZ, we would think of a saguaro-a giant cactus with arms), feel free to send it to me. I'll make it.
Just came from Joann's fabrics. Took some of the finished pillowcases in and they loved them! And then they do some fancy cutting to give me the absolute best price. Got some more helo fabric, Navy ships and all sorts of good stuff.
Good Morning Navy Family!  It's March 28. I bet our Sailors are feeling our momma love :) Great Job!
Looks like Juan has embraced the "tell my moms" concept!!!! Thank you for posting this Staci. Pat
that is so cute. thanks Staci. I was wondering if he got his new pillowcase, but didn't enclose my email address again. So I'll write.
How sweet! Juan and his unit does know how he is loved back! He has quite a sharp memory to remember your email Staci! I agree with Pat, since he has us labeled as "his navy moms" he truly knows what we do here! Thanks for sharing with us! Since it is getting so warm there, I hope they can find some relief. Perhaps your pillowcases Sue will be just the thing! :0}
Anita, I think we have decided on DVD's, sodoku puzzles, and other kinds of word puzzle books. This is pending Mary or Molly's approval. Thank you for your participation. Pat
Morning Pat :) I was just waiting on the word from you on what the group decision was. As soon as I can dig the snow out I will head to town to pick up some movies and puzzle books. It's been a tad busy in ND this last couple of weeks with flooding, snow storms and all that.
Morning Shell, Been worried about you and the flood situation. Hope you are okay and not too snowed in!!!! Give Molly my love!
This is the snow we got last night, this is straight snow, not drifting. It had snowed 14 inches from 7 pm untill a little after 11 when I got home last night and went to bed. It looks to be around 4.5 feet on the front patio. ugggg
Fargo's and Bismarck's rivers have receded slightly. Flooding has been contained to very low areas in the cities. Of course MN and smaller ND towns are devastated, but we don't see that so much on CNN or FOX news. it is also calving season and the loss is already in the millions. Watch what we pay for steak this summer :( Lives lost have been contained under 100 in the state, and those were results of exertion and snow related, not drownings. Credit that to the fantastic support we got from the National Guards, Coast Guards, and the many emergency personall who stayed on shift for days and days. Time will tell if the rivers go up and if/when we melt fast. Befor the snow fell, we had 3.5 feet of water up to my cememt pad that my deck is built on, thats 4 feet from my basement windows, my house is built with the basement only 4 feet into the ground, so any damage we may incur will be so much less then many.
Rumor has it that the 3 M's (Molly, Mel and Mary) are on a tour of the Truman...Can't wait to see blogs about that!
Remember ladies, the red cross is in great need of blood becuase of the flooding up North and the horrible storms down south. Stop in and donate if possible.

Is that your CAR shell...HOLY Crap..
When does the snow usaually stop up there??
I hope for your sake that is warms up slowly, so not to cause anymore problems for all N.dakota residents, especially my fav!!
Can you send me some of that snow. Been about 15 years since i saw 1 inch here in mobile, I can't beleive my eyes all that in one night woooooowwwwwww
yes, that is a mailbox :) the old guy next door nocked enough snow away from it so he would get his mail. Our fantastic mail guy drives an ancient jeep. Me? My mailbox is buried and well.......my bills can wait lol.
If you look at the garage in the rite background, you can see that the snow there is up to the third to last pannel on their garage door. Our town's little airport says that we got 25 inches, and heck...it is still spitting snow every now and then.
MN has some major flooding, my prayers go out to them.
