Please leave a note of a resource that helped you through difficult times. Also, if you have some choices for those dealing with death and dying, this would be a good place to list them.

My church has a grief group and they sent me booklets on what stages and feeling to expect to go through. It was wonderful. I will have to find them and send you a message on what they are and if you can get them. Also, my family and friends were my best place to go because they were going through it with me. Prayer and knowing that my father was rejoicing with the Angels at the Lord Gods feet is also a very comforting thought. God Bless!
I attended a 6 week Grief Workshop about 3 years ago when my brother died from a work accident. It was put together by a local hospital and featured the work book
The New Day Journal, A journey from grief to healing
by Mauryenn O'Brien, ISBN # 0-87946-130-6
This was initially geared towards the loss of a spouse. However our group had every imaginable loss. The 8 of us who attended and shared our stories of our loved ones was the most cathartic experience! I would strongly recommend such a workshop.
God Bless
When I experienced the lost of my grandmother I found comfort in conversing with my bishop and laying at the alter in my church. Know that sharing your thoughts and feelings is the most healthiest thing that you can do. Remember not to mourn the lost but to celebrate the life and the contributions that your loved one left behind. We serve an awesome God and know that he knows your pain. He's our Father and he loves us. Give it all to him. All worries and concerns. He's a healer. I pray your continued strength and faith in our Lord.
Check with your closest hospital... When my husband passed away, we enrolled in a children's grief support group through the hospital. They had a wonderful program that offered groups for the kids and the spouses. Once a year they had a wonderful get away weekend for all the families. My kids still talk about what they learned in the program. It really helped to heal each of us seperately and together.
But every resource available paled in the light of my faith in a loving God. Hang on tight, pray and take it one minute at a time... soon it will be one hour at a time and then a day or week.
A wonderful resource for those of us who are analytics and need to read our way through our issues is The Center for Loss and Life Transition. Their website is www.centerforloss.com and they have a bookstore with many wonderful resources for dealing with all kinds of loss.
Acceptance that Grief is a process that each of us goes thru in their own time, in their own way is of primary importance.Knowing the stages of grief is helpful, but the stages aren't like steps that you go up and never backtrack again. The pain decreases with time, but we all have our own timetable.Don't let anyone tell you how you should grieve, or how long.
There are online support groups for dealing with loss of parents, children, spouses that are also helpful.
The people who died during their services are the very people who sacrificed thier lives for the nation. I pray for them and their families. May the Eternal God bless them, with love and respect sympathy words

The church I attend offers GriefShare, it's a 13 week class, offers material, video and friendships with others.
Anyone can go to the website of www.griefshare.org and type in your zip code , and they will direct you to a local church class.

We lost my Mom April 27th 2007 and now my Dad Feb 07 2014 it is not easy losing a Parent they are always such a very big part of our life, but when you know in Christ that they are both together again and like how my Dad ached for my Mom as if part of him had died, I knew I could not be selfish in wanting them to stay here their health failing I knew in my heart of hearts that they were now happy together and I knew now I needed to focus on my own family and make what life I have left here on this earth the best and molding my life like the life of Jesus, no I can never be Jesus but I can strive to be like him and he was all about helping others and doing his Father's will, and the fact that I have Jesus in my life I know that I will see my Parents and all my Loved One's again one day, I Pray that this will help and touch the heart of just even one and make them feel stronger.
