John-- if you start lifting weights, your metabolism will increase and drink lots of water to flush out your system. I would not recommend lifting heavy because you don't want to build mega muscle since muscle weighs more than fat, you just want to get those fires going to burn those calories. Also, eat something small as soon as you get up so your metabolism will kick in. Aim for 3 small meals and 2 snacks a day spaced 2-3 hours apart. (This will keep your blood sugars from plummeting and help prevent the urge to binge.) Enjoy your last snack about 3 hours before you go to bed and brush your teeth as soon as you finish the snack. ( Usually, once someone brushes their teeth, flosses for the night, they won't want to do the routine again so it helps you not to eat anymore for the night.) Here's a saying that I've heard helps.. eat breakfast like a king, eat lunch like a prince and dinner like a pauper. If you have access to a game system and can buy DDR- dance, dance, revolution--I highly recommend it as a good form of exercise-- lots of calorie burning and fun to boot. Good luck to you!!!
P.S. Use common sense on the water intake, you don't want to overhydrate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm not giving chug the H2O advice here! lol : )
well if you wanna lose weight fast do it the way i did leg lifts arm circles running alot of running and try to smaller your food portions and drink alot of water and if you wanna prepare your body for basic do alot of pushups sit ups jumping jacks leg lifts lay on your stomach and put your hands and feet six inches of the ground and move them and run that will help you out alot i promise anything else you need just let me know im here to help you

How old are you? My son is 21! He didn't want to go at first but now is the best thing that have ever happened to him. When he graduated from high school he was 2 years doing nothing with his life. Now all he has done since bootcamp is school and he loves it. He came over for xmas and it was the best xmas ever. Your mom should join this website. I know is hard for her cause when my son was doing bootcamp I felt that i was the one going thru it but joining this website was able to share my pain and realize that i didn't had to worry like i was. I don't know if I can advice anyone to join any other service but the Navy I sure can. Good Luck and we are here for you and your family.
Sorry John I got your age. I just had to read some more. Best wishes.
Ok so here is the update... I went and talked to my recruiter and i go to meps at FT. Mead MD on April 1st but i have already heard that two of the jobs ( corpsman and master at arms ) I want are booked solid for the rest of the year except special forces in which case i still have alot of work to do. I am worried that i will go to meps and not get a job like all the stories I hear of people going 3 or 4 times and still not having a job.
thanks i use that site to research the rate they offered me so now i have the job reserved and just need to wait on the security clearance... should it really take over two days to get a clearance ????
HI! well i went to MEPs Wednesday into Thursday and had had great time met some great people and had a good time. since i had been before all i had to do was inspect and then wait to talk to a classifier to get a job .... well i waited 8.5 hrs and didn't get a job. All they were signing were high school students!! So now i go back Monday after working all night to try and get a job and hopefully i can get what i want.(Master at Arms, Corpsman)
well i was at MEPs March 31 into April 1st and didn't get a job because all they were signing was high school students..... then went back Monday April 5th and got offered MT (Missile tech submarine) but the job needs a top secret clearance so i filled out that paperwork by 10 am and waited all day only to not hear back about it so i went back today April 6th and got to MEPs at 6am and waited all day only to still not hear back about my clearance! i had never thought about this job but it sounds like a good deal and i get to come out of Aschool as an E4 so hopefully i will hear back about my clearance tomorrow they said if not late this afternoon then first thing tomorrow morning so cross your fingers for me
I am glad you find something you like. Good Luck tomorrow morning.
Fingers are crossed!
