It's so hard to keep track of everyone through all the different groups, since we know our recruits are together it would be nice if we could each write our names here, instead of just our profile names it would be easier to know who is who.  I don't know if we can list our recruits names on here or not. Anyone else know?
When we start getting letters it would be nice to share what our recruits are saying since they each will probably tell different things about how it's going at GL.  What do you think?

Hi Tammy.. My name is Linda and my son Jarrod is also going to be an AIRR.. He is in the same ship and div as your son so I am sure they will get to know each other.. In my form letter from Jarrod he said they were up for 46 hrs and that his haircut is real short and he looks funny!! He seemed to be handling things good.. He will be 23 in Sept. How old is your son? Another guy from our area left when Jarrod did and is in the same Div and ship.. His name is Louis.. I was glad to learn that the 2 of them were together.. You will have to keep me posted if you hear from your son as I will you.. TTYL
Hi Linda, Nice to meet a fellow Air Rescue Mom. I would imagine our sons will be going through everything together then, A school and all the other stuff don't you think? Is Louis in Air Rescue also? That IS nice they got to leave together. My son is 20. Colton usually keeps his hair short, but not as short as they will have cut it! That's funny Jarrod said he thought he looked funny. I bet alot of them think that.
Nice to meet you and thanks for replying on here. Let's keep in touch!

Hi Tammy ~ My name is Denise and my son Sean is EOD. He's also on Ship 4, Div 814. I haven't heard anything from him yet other than he's looking forward to PIR! I haven't "met" any other EOD moms in this division yet. Anyone out there?
Hi Denise! Good to meet you. What is EOD?
EOD is explosive ordinance detonation (I think??) - in layman's terms is the bomb squad!
Hi Denise, I'm Terri. My son Edward is EOD on Ship 4 DIV 814 just like Sean. Yay! I just got "the box" yesterday but no letter yet. It appears from the schedule that their PIR is 6/25. Any suggestions from you ladies on how to find out the names of hotels in the area. Want to go ahead and make reservations. And wouldn't it be terrific if we get to meet?
Hi Terri ~ Look at the travel brochure that came with the form letter. It's got a list of recommended hotels with discount rates for the military graduation. I called several. Most are booking quickly and asking $120+ a night. I found a room at the Red Carpet Inn for $56/night. It looks fairly nice online, so I booked it. All we need is a room and a pillow to rest our heads! :)
Hello Denise, My name is Aileen & my son JP is EOD & is Ship 4,Div 814
Hello- My name is Lyn and my son is also in the same Div. I've never got anything either re PIR though i'm excited to receive a "quick" call from him the other day. It's a good feeling just to hear his voice and that he's doing good. He mentioned that it's 6/25. I also called his recruiter and confirmed it's 6/25. Am anxious to receive his letter.
Hi Denise,
My son Travis is also on Ship 4 Div. 814. He graduates June 25. Got a couple of letters and he did call last night. Says he is doing well but sleep and letters are like gold. He is going for rescue swimmer. Glad to be in touch with you guys...Hope all is well
Hi Penny ~ My son says the letters are the best part of the day too. I've started mailing something (however small) every day!
Hi, I'm sorry it took me so long to get back to you. Is your son graduating on June 25? How is he doing?
