Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

My son will be starting this in this  OCS class and would like to get LO connecting as we wait for the class to start in about 3 months. Then talk as we wait for graduation and make plans.

well I know his class starts Aug 1st, I thought I had fix it, so confusing so now I don't know what the number should be Please help dmarie
Wow! You've got this down pretty good! That's the one thing I didn't know.... fiscal year! So, it's not necessarily when they start, but when they end! Thanks for clearing that up!
This class may well be 01-11. Your son should get an official word on the class designation from OCS. In checking another website that has lots of OCS info on it, it does not look like any classes are starting up in July. Don't sweat the class number too much. People will find you, and when you have an official number, post it!
It is 01-11 because like you said dmarie, it's when they graduate. They'll be the first class to graduate in the fiscal year of 2011. Here is a link to the OCS schedule from CETARS (navy database for schools)

I will be watching your posts as my son starts in the next class on Aug. 22. He has been in awhile also - 3 years in Nov. as enlisted. He is in Charleston right now and has been on hold almost a year. Good luck to your son and wish all of you well as 3 months with little contact is hard!

We have a facebook page for this class come join and follow the imformation. That what I did followed alot of the classes and learn so much. He has been in OCS for three days now.
Hello everyone, my name is Cheryl and my husband Darnell started with this class on this past Sunday. I have no idea about hardly anything regarding OCS. I'll be joining the Facebook page as well.
